Bravo’s Project Runway 3 Finale Launches Auction Frenzy for Finalists’ Collections
NEW YORK, October 09, 2006 – Capping a season which has seen the popularity of the Weinstein Company-produced “Project Runway 3” grow to the point that it is the most watched and highest rated show in Bravo history in addition to being cable’s highest rated show in its time slot, Bravo will air the two part finale at 10 PM on October 11 and October18, when the finalist designers will present their collections to the judging panel.
Immediately following the selection of this season’s winning designer, Delivery Agent, Inc., the leader in shopping enabled programming for television shows, motion pictures, sports, and music, the exclusive e-commerce enabler for “Project Runway,” will open the bidding on the entire collections of all finalists at the official “Project Runway” auction site: http://projectrunway.auction.seenon.com/
“Our relationship with ‘Project Runway’ is a perfect example of why entertainment properties are best served by working with Delivery Agent for their e-commerce activities,” said Mike Fitzsimmons, Delivery Agent CEO. “Bravo and The Weinstein Company have been very successful in building the popularity of this series to the point that it is almost a generic term for ‘hit series.’ They have attracted the audience, and we have kept pace with them in serving that audience’s needs. Our auctions have grown both in bidders and dollars, and by outsourcing online sales and auction activities to Delivery Agent, the producers have not had to invest in technology infrastructure or for that matter additional staff to handle commerce demands.”
In addition to the almost fifty original creations from the “Project Runway 3” finalists that the public will be able to bid on at http://projectrunway.auction.seenon.com/, t-shirt designs from all of this year’s contestants plus some from past finalists and winners are also available at http://projectrunway.seenon.com/. Delivery Agent also showcases specialty items with popular catchphrases used in the show, like “Auf Wiedersehen”, Heidi Klum’s trademark sign off.
