Launches Shop.Oxygen.com with Exclusive “Bad Girls Club” Merchandise

NEW YORK, November 17, 2008 – Just in time for the holiday season, Oxygen Media launches its first ever e-commerce initiative, “shop.oxygen.com” which goes live today. In keeping with the Oxygen “Live Out Loud” brand and philosophy, the merchandise will be fun and unexpected. The network partnered with Delivery Agent, Inc., the leader in shopping-enabled entertainment, to build, host and manage Oxygen’s e-commerce initiative. The announcement was made today by Jason Klarman, General Manager, Oxygen Media.

The first merchandise to be offered on the site will be tied to the hit Oxygen series “Bad Girls Club” which launches its newest season on Tuesday, December 2 at 10 PM ET/PT. The national print and outdoor campaign for “BGC” will hit today in conjunction with the web launch. Two lines of merchandise will be available for purchase, some general Oxygen merchandise with oxygenated phrases like “Over It” and “Obsessed” joining other articles of clothing specific to the series, “Bad Girls Club.” The merchandise will include yoga pants and tee shirts that are blingy and fun as well accessories like “Devil Dust” glitter and jewel shaped ice cube trays, all speaking to the “Live Out Loud” sensibility. For the cost conscious but fashion-obsessed woman, most of the merchandise will retail for under $30.00. Delivery Agent will handle the sourcing and manufacturing.

“In making the announcement, Klarman said, ‘Gen O Oxygen viewers love to shop online and in stores and view it as entertainment.” “We made our products beyond the typical TV-based fan gear, and created our fashionable, trend-setting items at a price point that’s affordable.”

Jennifer Turner, Vice President, Licensing and Strategic Partnerships, Bravo Media and Oxygen Media added, “We felt it was important to fulfill our viewers’ desire to look good and have fun and continue to connect with their favorite Oxygen programming. The site is the first step in what we hope will be an even more dynamic fashion and lifestyle offering for our viewers in the future.”

“The Bad Girls Club” remains one of Oxygen’s most-watched original series. “The Bad Girls Club” also achieved a network milestone, becoming the first Oxygen original series episode to break the one million-viewer mark (2/19/08).
