New Commerce Initiatives Include Mobile Storefronts, T-commerce and Expansion into Europe

SAN FRANCISCO — October 22, 2010 — Delivery Agent, the leader in multi-channel e-commerce for sports and entertainment, announced today that UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), has renewed and expanded its exclusive agreement with Delivery Agent to power the organization’s multichannel e-commerce initiatives including the popular UFCStore.com and several new initiatives to serve its growing and rabid fan base.

Delivery Agent and the UFC, which first partnered in 2005 to open UFCStore.com, recently launched UFCStore.eu to deliver a more efficient and enhanced customer experience for European enthusiasts of MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), its gear and apparel. Through its operation in London, Delivery Agent provides the e-commerce technology and manages all of the merchandising, fulfillment, customer care and interactive marketing services for UFCStore.eu.

Expanding into new commerce channels, the UFC and Delivery Agent will be launching mobile commerce applications that will enable in-venue and on-the-go purchasing of MMA-related products. These rich media applications will be developed for both Apple and Android devices and will create a more fluid engagement and commerce opportunity between UFC and its fans.

In addition, Delivery Agent and the UFC are working on a t-commerce effort to launch a click-to-buy application that will enable viewers of UFC events to purchase products using their television remote control as they are watching the fights.

“As our sport has exploded, so too has our e-commerce business,” said UFC chief marketing officer Bryan Johnston, “We’re pleased to extend our agreement to work with Delivery Agent in developing and executing next-generation commerce strategies to support our evolution and growth.”

In recognition of this new phase of the companies’ partnership and in conjunction with the UFC 121 Lesnar vs Velasquez fight, fans will be able to purchase walkout t-shirts featuring the biggest names in the UFC, including Brock Lesnar and Diego Sanchez.  Other special MMA-related merchandise will be offered during this historic event, and all purchases of $50 or more made October 22-24 at UFCStore.com will include free shipping.

Delivery Agent Selected by AlwaysOn as an OnHollywood 100 Winner

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — September 28, 2010 – Delivery Agent, the leader in shopping-enabled entertainment, announced today that it was chosen by AlwaysOn as one of the OnHollywood 100 winners. Inclusion in the OnHollywood 100 signifies leadership among its peers and game-changing approaches and technologies that are likely to disrupt existing and entrenched Hollywood entertainment. Delivery Agent was specially selected by the AlwaysOn editorial team and industry experts spanning the globe based on a set of five criteria: innovation, market potential, commercialization, stakeholder value, and media buzz.

“As the longstanding commerce partner for major entertainment companies including CBS, NBC Universal, Twentieth Century Fox, A&E Television Networks and Discovery Communications, it’s our mission always to lead the trends in content monetization strategies, whether across the Internet, mobile or television,” said Mike Fitzsimmons, CEO of Delivery Agent, “It’s very gratifying to be recognized for this achievement with our fourth-consecutive OnHollywood 100 award.”

Delivery Agent and the OnHollywood 100 companies were honored at AlwaysOn’s fifth annual OnHollywood on September 27th, 2010, at the Entertainment Technology Center @ USC in Los Angeles, CA. The two-and-a-half-day executive gathering highlighted significant trends affecting digital entertainment.

Disruptive technology is forcing big changes in Hollywood: new contracts, new genres, new stars. As the behemoth industry steps into the digital era, entertainment execs will be paying even closer attention to the global Silicon Valley—especially the startups that are writing the rules and creating the tools for the digital entertainment age.

“When you review the OnHollywood 100 class of 2010, you will see that we have come a long way since music sharing sites like Napster and Kazaa began disrupting the entertainment world,” says Tony Perkins, founder and editor of AlwaysOn. “Now, the entire entertainment world is dependent on the Internet, social networking, and the burgeoning use of the iPhone and Google’s Android smartphone platforms to market, distribute, and share entertainment.”

The OnHollywood 100 winners were selected from among thousands of domestic and international technology companies nominated by investors, bankers, journalists, and entertainment industry insiders. The AlwaysOn editorial team conducted a rigorous three-month selection process to finalize the 2010 list.

A full list of all the AlwaysOn OnHollywood 100 winners can be found on the AlwaysOn website at: http://www.aonetwork.com/AOStory/Announcing-2010-OnHollywood-100
