Adds Social Commerce via Facebook, Fan-Designed Merchandising and Online Private Sales to Existing Content Monetization Strategies
CBS, America’s most-watched television network, has signed an agreement to extend and expand its exclusive commerce partnership with Delivery Agent, the leader in multi-channel commerce for sports and entertainment. As part of the expanded agreement, Delivery Agent, which has powered www.CBSstore.com since 2007, will manage CBS’s move to add social commerce, fan-designed merchandise, and online private sales to its content monetization strategies.
Delivery Agent provides commerce solutions for all of CBS’ popular long-running programs such as NCIS, big Bang Theory, The Late Show with David Letterman, Survivor and The Young and the Restless and its newest hit shows including The Defenders, Blue Bloods and $#*! My Dad Says.
Viewers of these and other CBS programs will have several new ways to interact and transact with their favorite shows when CBS and Delivery Agent introduce the following new commerce initiatives:
- Social Commerce: CBS has more than 40 Facebook pages for its shows and special programming. Now, people who visit these pages will be able to purchase exclusive fan gear directly from these Facebook pages.
- Fan-Designed Merchandise: Fans will be able to visit CBSstore.com and find approved brand assets that they can use to design their own fully customized and personalized products and fashions, which they can then purchase and also make available to their friends.
- Online Private Sales: Viewers will be able to buy products seen on CBS shows through a members-only private sale initiative that will offer great deals on fashions and accessories inspired by the characters and stars of CBS shows.
